To connect your Macbook to a Ricoh printer please follow the steps below
- Open the GCISD App Store which should be the red star on your toolbar or listed in your "Applications" folder in finder
- Click on the search bar on the left side and type Ricoh
- Let this install should take a minute or so
- Click on the Apple logo in the top left hand corner of the screen
- Mouse over to “System Preferences” and click
- Mouse over to “Printers and Scanners and click
- Mouse over to the “+” sign in the bottom left corner and click
- At the top there is a Search bar, start by typing in your three letter school code
- EXP - Colleyville Heritage High School is CHS
- After your school, put a “-” (dash) then type in the room number/location where the printer is located and click on it
- On the bottom of the window there is a drop down menu titled “Use” Click on it and choose “Select Software...”
- To find the Ricoh driver please type in the model number of the Ricoh. You can see model at the end of the name where you type the 3 letter school code
- Click ok when you find the right driver
- You should see the Ricoh driver in the Use: line
- Click “Add” on the bottom right corner
- The printer will show up under Printers & Scanners now. Congrats you have connect a Ricoh printer! (If the picture of the Ricoh doesn't look like a Ricoh, please double check that you clicked the right driver)
- Now let’s add your print code so you can print to the Ricoh. If you do not know your code please get with your Campus Tech
- Please open Word
- If you do not have Word please go to the GCISD App Store to download it. It is under Office 2019

- Click on Print
- You will have a new window pop up
- Select the Ricoh as the printer you want to print to
- Under the Copies & Pages drop down menu, click on Job Log
- The Job Long will open the new window. Click on Enable User Code and add your User Code to that field.
- Now that you have your User Code entered. Click on Presets
- Click on Save Current Settings as Preset
- Name the Preset. I usually use Ricoh as the name
- Click on ok
- You can now close all the windows. Congrats you have connected and checked the printer!
